Traceroute back to you

Takes up to 30 seconds. Many routers, including most home routers, don't answer, so the last step often shows as no reply.

Using a script or command line

Get just the address as text:

curl https://cloud.surftec.com/myip/?format=text
curl https://ip4.surftec.cloud/myip/api.php?format=text
curl https://ip6.surftec.cloud/myip/api.php?format=text
How this works

A web page normally reaches a server over IPv6 or IPv4, not both, so it can only see one address. This page asks two extra addresses, one that only answers over IPv4 and one that only answers over IPv6, so you see both.

If IPv6 shows Not available, your internet connection or device is not using IPv6. That is common and not a fault.
